About Bay State Fencers

Bay State Fencers was established in 2004 to provide a home for the urban fencer. We are located adjacent to Union Square in Somerville and Inman Square in Cambridge, MA. Bay State Fencers is both a fencing academy and fencing club, serving epee fencing enthusiasts in and around Metro Boston. Our students and members come from a wide range of communities including Somerville, Cambridge, Watertown, Boston, and beyond.

Bay State Fencers is an epee club committed to supporting each individual as they work to achieve their personal, athletic, and competitive goals. We do this by fostering the principles of respect, patience, and a competitive spirit. Our youth, adult, and veteran fencers are active competitors. As one of New England’s premier epee clubs we are experiencing robust results locally, regionally, and nationally.

We offer fencing classes, competitive fencing programs, private fencing lessons, open fencing, and fencing clinics for people ages 8 to 60+. Our modern fencing facility has six strips, including two professional grade grounded metal strips, scoring machines, and en-suite dressing rooms and New Englands first sprung fencing floor.

Bay State Fencers is a Premier Member Club of USA Fencing, the recognized national governing body for the Olympic sport of fencing in the United States.
