What We Offer

Bay State Fencers is an Epee Fencing Club and Academy, welcoming people interested in fencing from communities surrounding Watertown, Newton, Cambridge, and Boston, and visiting epee fencers from around the world. We are committed to ensuring that every fencer who joins us, young or old, novice or expert, achieves his or her athletic goals through fencing.  We strive to make this journey as enriching and satisfying as possible. Our offerings include:

You do not need to be experienced or to be highly competitive to fence with us. Our professional coaches create a fun, safe, and supportive learning environment for athletes of all ages and all athletic ability.

Students begin by enrolling in one of our age-specific Learn to Fence Classes and progress through to our Epee Classes. After completing a full cycle of our classes adult students often go on to become BSF Club Members and many youth students are invited to join one of our Competitive Programs.

To enroll in BSF Classes annual $10 non-competitive USA Fencing Membership is required. BSF Student Club Membership is included in the enrollment fee.

BSF Competitive Programs are by Invitation Only. Youth fencers enrolled in BSF Epee Classes and experienced youth epee fencers are welcome to express interest in joining our competitive programs.

Our competitive fencers train two to five days per week, take one or more private lessons per week, and travel to local, regional, and/or national competitions each month. Many BSF Competitive high school fencers go on to join NCAA Fencing Programs or Collegiate Clubs or at top colleges and universities across the United States.
